Prayer for the talks in China.

I had the opportunity to listen to the talks with President Obama and President Wu and rejoiced at the wonderful opportunity of reconciliation this season is. How much we are imitating God when distant neighbors attempt reconciliation and attempt to find points of agreement. Only God can inspire that kind of human interaction and to Him belongs all of the Glory.
I went to get Ben from work at 11 and turned on the news to help me go to sleep and rejoiced to hear these two great men speak about attempting to find reconciliation between the two continents. It was ironic that at the same time I got the CD in the mail of Aunt Gwen's wedding. I am still in awe of the reconciliation of married people as was the case in their wedding. I rejoice that God can reconcile Himself to us and teach us to reconcile even our deepest divides:).

  1. Hey Jayne
I just got my flash drive to be able to hear the Speechless song by Steven Chapman! Really groovie!:)
I am speechless how many things that I thought I was so sure about & God winks and shows me another vantage point. It's amazed me how the gift of loving also means accepting the love others have for us too !I feel Special ~like everyone knew all that, but I guess it is never too late ... I am very tuned in because I like learning new things.

  2. Your devotional left me speechless and I was having prayer and praise time at home this past Sunday because of a sick man, Named Enoch. He is not like the rest of the family, all in your day. I have to chase him to get an update of his condition. Steven Curtis Chapman had the perfect response to the goodness of God expressed in how He walked on the water before He delivered the demoniac in Genesseret. I think He is my favorite NT person. Saved to the utmost and the disciples would probably have balked about it had they not just been left Speechless by the walking on the water incident. Jesus really loves us more than we can know.
