Babushka fed the birds, today!

>Snow, snow, snow we rarely get it. Today was a blizzard! Woweee! The children made their snowman and snow fort. My entertainment was my birdfeeder. The snow came down profusely. Large and massive flakes, like we rarely see in this North Carolina climate. It was a sentimental snow. It only lasts a day or so here, so we drink in the delights. I went to work making the cocoa and the biscuits and the soup and let the weather do the rest. My chicken soup was simmering and I looked out and thought, perhaps the birdfeeder is empty. Even though my sparrow guests weren't complaining. I went out to check and sure enough, it was empty. The whole family stood around the window near the birdfeeder, making up stories about the interaction that we saw. Those little birdies pollywollydoodled and entertained us most of the day.

Thinking of Pete Seeger with his heavenly hammer and bell--in my imagination

What sacred fountain yonder springs Up from the throne of God, And all new cov'nant blessings brings? 'Tis Jesus' precious blood.

What mighty sum paid all my debt When I a bondman stood, And has my soul at freedom set? 'Tis Jesus' precious blood.

What stream is that which sweeps away My sins just like a flood, Nor lets one guilty blemish stay? 'Tis Jesus' precious blood.

What voice is that which speaks for me In heav'n's high court for good, And from the curse has made me free? 'Tis Jesus' precious blood.

What theme, my soul, shall best employ Thy harp before thy God, And make all heav'n to ring with joy? 'Tis Jesus' precious blood.

Pete Seeger made me laugh this morning. He said the sight is glorious in my imagination. I didn’t get a harp like you thought I got a hammer and a bell and heaven is ringing. Halleluia, what a Saviour.
