It is so hard to coordinate 8 people's schedules and activities...

Memorial Day, always proves a challenge. We have 2 May birthdays. This year there was a May wedding that Emily was a part of. What a beautiful month is May. To get the crew to celebrate the holiday in the same place and in the same way is the challenge. Honey thought 3 days at the park would be a treat for us all. It did end up being a treat, but not before much of the conflicts that are our lot in life these days. We made it out to the park on Sat. Bailey Road Park, on Sunday, Freedom Park and Monday, Jetton Park. In our minds we thought that we would have a central picnic spot and go to and fro, from activity to activity, but that wasn't the way it worked out. Much family-babble went on as we decided, which park on which day and what to bring and not to bring. But, we made it out there and we are grateful that we were corralled, by a loving earthly father to have fun together, in spite of ourselves.

Hanging on, as another couple ties the knot!

What do you say to the happy new couple? People always wax eloquent at weddings, I see. It's been 30 years since my own wedding day and so very many of the festivities merry-makers have already passed on. Some are still with us, but it seems that heaven comes down to celebrate covenants of commitment on the earth.

We got ready for the wedding and I could almost see Aunt Gloria walking around with me through the house. I could hear her voice in the craziness of our usual or unusual Sunday prep. I put some rollers in my hair to mark her remembrance. She was the coordinator of our wedding in a lot of ways. Here she was coordinating me not losing all my marbles going to the wedding of this season. It seemed that heaven was preparing me for the day. I really wasn't concentrating on the wedding per say, but the usual unusual things were coming closer together in our continued struggle to survive the daily vicissitudes. I was introduced to the James Walker of Harvard, through a mutual respected commentary of "Charles Bridges" and they all seemed to say fellowship with heaven and covenants are precious to God and celebrated in heaven.

I found out that the 160th anniversary of James Walker getting the presidency at Harvard was a momentous occasion, if not to all of Heaven, to me and to Aunt Gloria and Uncle Charles and the rest of heaven that keep us in their prayers and concern and mystic sweet communion. I was encouraged, though still depressed deeply at our situations and our difficulties. Enoch graduates and has a birthday coming up and Heaven is pointing us to look to the God, who ordained us to be in the sad state that we are in, yet rejoicing. He gave us KJ and Matt's wedding to help us reminisce about our thirty years together trying to build into the lives that are our family.

The rollers that signified Aunt Gloria's memory to me on this special wedding day, were taken out in time to celebrate the day and rejoice with those that do rejoice.

Heaven came down and glory filled our souls

Happy Mother's Day dear "Manned of God"

They do say that behind every great mother is a great man, don't they? Well I don't know about a great mother on mother's day, here, but I do know a great man who heads this ever growing and ever changing family of people. What a dyn amic man to put up with a psycho-wifeypoo and the bunch of younguns that we have spawned. He is determined to make godly people out of us, inspite of our craziness. He has his hands full, too. We challenge him every step, but he is determined to preach us into the kingdom, come "hell or high water" as they say. I am fervently grateful and adamantly determined to work with him on that regard. Halleluia that God has given him a perservering spirit with the likes of us and we are hanging onto him and his veracity is appreciated.Happy, Happy Mother's Day to the man who made me a mother!
