Happy Birthday Amy!

I can't believe that I was only 6 or 7 when Amy was born. That wonderful cake that Aunt Glo made, still is in the memory of my tastebuds. Cake memories usually are. So many grown ladies with tuna cakes and sandwiches without crust and tea and coffee and little children were not fondly looked at on such occasions. Aunt Glo had a way of making us know we were welcome in whatever state we were. There was a banner that everybody signed at A's baby shower and I looked at it in mommy's closet for years and years to come. I guess it was a reminder that there were so many people praying for this great accomplishment. Another girl was welcomed into the world with pomp and circumstance and she has lived up to her mighty birth story. Everybody encouraged and lifted spirits and a young mommy was strengthened and lifted to the task by a bunch of women who were praying for her and with her. It is a superhuman task, to mother so many: I have, since come to find it impossible, I'd say, without prayer. I love you Amy!!!  I am so grateful to be your big sister!

thank you mommy for giving her to usXOXOOX.

"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!" I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus. I am grateful for His mercies and grace. I am a wife and mother trying to grow and learn godliness and write about the process.
