Remembering a wonderful trip we made before we were parents.

We took a 14 hour drive out to the western part of Pennsylvania, with baby Elyse, just brewing in my belly. I was nauseous as could be and complaining all the way out there. But the very first view of an eagle taking off from the ground before us, as we drove, shut my mouth for the rest of the trip. This view will remain in my minds eye. It was as breathtaking to me as the outside of the Fallingwater House. That beautiful round red pot in the living room and the tree trunk coffee table were accents that made me want to know more about the architect F.L. Wright and the family that let him into their lives, the Kaufmans.
