Foolish enough to still love Jesus

It was first Holy Communion for the boys yesterday! Halleluia!

Monday, August 10, 2015

Monday morning, Off to work and thinking about the back to school regimen.

2 college kids in the house, one highschooler and one middleschooler, not to mention the 2 adult women who help us. We bump into eachother alot. This is the week that the crescendo happens. Somebody feels unnecessary, somebody feels trampled and the house is fed up with everybody putting their stuff, wherever they stop.

Thank God that he understands the cries and confidences of a mother who is too stupid to hold all of these responsibilities in an organized way. He has the guidance and He has the wisdom for today. He has the strength to meet the challenges of a downtrodden and discouraged teen and a confident self directed college team and a middleschooler who is shocked at the internet and trying to act like he can handle it. God, You know us. Help us and grow us into real examples of Christians in this time of life. We want to know You, here. In Jesus' Name, amen.

The Homecoming and Paddington Bear...

With the ladies happily enjoying a wonderful trip to Tennessee, it allowed me a moment to watch a current or semi-current movie. I am usually scared out of my mind at these new movies with their HD quality visuals and indecent amount of violence, i.e.. Captain America and the Hobbit{LOL}. I was intending to watch Paddington, since it first came out. It took 3 tries for me to wade through it, for laughing and falling asleep.

I think it was made for me; a simple plot and limited and careful use of violent activity. Truly a G-PG rated movie and it motivated me to make jelly out of the crates of strawberries that we had in the freezer from last year. When the girls came home last night we watched it together and then took it back to the box and maybe we will buy it so I can plan out a half hour family motivational movie time for myself, from time to time.

My collards also got cooked and my carrots got juiced and I blame Paddington for those accomplishments, also. We used to sit with the girls and read Paddington as a children's book and now that we are all grown, the movie is a reminder of those delightful carefree;) days. I giggled and cheered greatly when I saw last year that Paddington was included in the Macy's Day Parade as a float. I do hope that they would consider Corduroy for another delightful bear float for the Christmas season and then maybe, I would schedule a yuletide New York visit... Dreaming again....Love you. Jayne

Celebramos el ocho del agosto?

We celebrate the 5th day of the 5th month and we celebrate many other occasions. But, for me, the 8th of August is an amazing day. My daughters are enjoying a vacation and my sisters are basking in the afterglow of the James Taylor conference.
I am cleaning my house with my delightful male companions, husband and 3 sons. It is a much quieter and solitudinous experience with them sprawled about the house on a Saturday morning. I am trying to clean around them. Enjoying the blessing of Judith McAllister's worshipful music and of course Fred Hammond, while I clean. Halleluia!
why is October the 10th month?

some people like to talk about music...

I love to talk about music. I love music. I was delighted to know end to know that Uncle Charles wanted this song sung by Ju, at his funeral. I couldn't believe that we had lived in family and never connected on that subject. I loved the remembrance of candies and whiskey and food and other family habits and enjoyments that we had. But, never music with Uncle Charles. Uncle Barry had taped the Simon and Garfunkel for me and we had always connected with music. Dad and I sat in the car and challenged one another to a name that tune on the radio at the first note of this or that song. That was our relationship. Mental challenge of listening power. The joy of silent and listening people. What do quiet people think about? We think about music. We think about what talking people say and are saying. We think about thinking and we regret not having asked the question of the quiet uncle, "What is your favorite music genre?"
All eternity is too short to give God all our praise. we will have time to reconnect in eternity, For HIS Glory!

Widdle Emmie in outer space school

Emmie jumped on the bus and off it flew out into the atmosphere. There was a set of clouds with turbulence right above the house and it took a few minutes for my Emmie to buckle her seatbelt. They hit the bump hard and it knocked my Emmie out of her seat and she bumped her head. The video camera came on and the monitor looked through and stated, Ms. Emmie, where are you? You are not in your seat. Where are you? I am alright I fell because I hadn’t buckled correctly. Well jump up Emmie we have a long way to go and you have to be buckled there is entirely too much turbulence in the stratosphere for you to unbuckle now. As soon as we are through this weather system there will be straight sailing but right now you must buckle. Emmie scrambled into the seat with intensity and purpose now. She watched every cloud pass her window and her nose was pressed to the window trying to see the top of the house as it drifted slowly out of sight. Soon they were not only out of sight of the house, the sun came out brightly and just as quickly they were putting on the atmospherical breathing apparatus and the outerspherical lights. The ABA and the OL. These precautions were to make them appear to be satellites to the radar as they were out in the ionosphere. Emmie knew all about this now. She had gone to the orientation and had a good breakfast and it took them 20 minutes for her to get out past the atmospherical pull and to feel the zero gravity. It would be 15 minutes before the gravity simulators would take effect, a glitch in the system which was being worked on. Until then, they enjoyed the couple of minutes of floatation, while being connected to the seats by belt. The first thing they saw everyday was the strataflotsam. The items which had been dumped into the atmosphere by earlier generations. What would their generation do about this ecological waste area that remained floating above their heads? This was a question for the generations. For now it was the area that they had to guide through on the way to school.

My little Emmie

ran to the bus on the first day of the last year of school. 2 buns on the side of her head. She kissed me and ran at dawn to the bus. She was starting the adventure of a lifetime. I would never see that little girl again, she was going to woman school!

A VISIT TO PAPA

Are you going to Mary Immaculate?

Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,

Remember me to the one who lived there,

He once was a true love of mine,

Tell him to buy me an acre of land,

Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,

Between the muddy Hudson in Jamaica Bay,

Then, He’ll be a true love of mine,

Tell him to sow in it seeds of pure cream,

Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,

And build Ice cream mountains and buildings of whipped cream,

Then, He’ll be a true love of mine,

Tell him to reap them with sickles of M&M’s,

Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,

And chew bubble gum and eat till we’re done,

Then, He’ll be a true love of mine.

Tell him to run it off down the motor parkway,

Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,

After your done 50 pushups

and jog down the West Side Highway,

Then he’ll be a true love of mine…

(Don’t wait for me today dad, The kids are sick again, My tummy’s bulging again, My heart is aching again, And now there’s no love there…)

He once was, a true love of mine….So, Girls, I do beg you don't miss your Daddy,Apricots, Chocolate cherries and Pie,You have one short chance to see him on this side, Go visit him and let your light shine.
