We've had rain, nearly everyday, for quite awhile, here in Charlotte!
Rain, covering us like the grace of God.
I am so grateful for the greening of Summer. For a couple of years, we had drought conditions. This year the beauty of the constant drenching is a beautiful thing to me. Now, we are praying that the timing of the rain would be convenient for us. I have one grapevine coming up and four strawberry plants in the garden. They are delighted at the plentiful waters and watering.
My bird feeder, though empty, because of not buying the seeds for my dear friends in the neighborhood, sprouted 5 sunflowers from the birds dropping those seeds into the soil, instead of eating them. This morning, Mrs. Bluejay had a good-morning song for me as soon as I opened the door to look out at the beautiful morning sky. The clouds hadn't quite decided what they would do, yet. The sun was bright and promising of a sunshiny day. Now, it seems that Mrs. Bluejay, was warning me, get outside, now, she warned, there are some clouds forming outside of your view. I saw them on my way over here and I here there will be rain today. Really, I queried? She darted off to discuss the matters with my neighbor, through her opened window. I wasn't offended, because I have learned that is the bluejay way. They give a quick newscast and hardly have time to discuss any questions. They leave socializing to the sparrows.
Right now, though it isn't raining, the sun is covered by the gathering clouds and seem to be threatening to keep the day overcast, for a while. We will see.Summer, in NC is full of wild and life and challenging weather patterns. I enjoy it. So many stories are on my tongue and on my computer, having gotten to know my animal friends in the neighborhood. Kissed my honey good bye and a good day and then prepared for the young people to come downstairs for the day.
fictional blog link, stories. False Alarm, the sun came back out! It looks like a lovely day, now.9:39am.Saturday, June 15, 2013

Hanging on, as another couple ties the knot!
What do you say to the happy new couple? People always wax eloquent at weddings, I see. It's been 30 years since my own wedding day and so very many of the festivities merry-makers have already passed on. Some are still with us, but it seems that heaven comes down to celebrate covenants of commitment on the earth.
We got ready for the wedding and I could almost see Aunt Gloria walking around with me through the house. I could hear her voice in the craziness of our usual or unusual Sunday prep. I put some rollers in my hair to mark her remembrance. She was the coordinator of our wedding in a lot of ways. Here she was coordinating me not losing all my marbles going to the wedding of this season. It seemed that heaven was preparing me for the day. I really wasn't concentrating on the wedding per say, but the usual unusual things were coming closer together in our continued struggle to survive the daily vicissitudes. I was introduced to the James Walker of Harvard, through a mutual respected commentary of "Charles Bridges" and they all seemed to say fellowship with heaven and covenants are precious to God and celebrated in heaven.
I found out that the 160th anniversary of James Walker getting the presidency at Harvard was a momentous occasion, if not to all of Heaven, to me and to Aunt Gloria and Uncle Charles and the rest of heaven that keep us in their prayers and concern and mystic sweet communion. I was encouraged, though still depressed deeply at our situations and our difficulties. Enoch graduates and has a birthday coming up and Heaven is pointing us to look to the God, who ordained us to be in the sad state that we are in, yet rejoicing. He gave us KJ and Matt's wedding to help us reminisce about our thirty years together trying to build into the lives that are our family.
The rollers that signified Aunt Gloria's memory to me on this special wedding day, were taken out in time to celebrate the day and rejoice with those that do rejoice.
Heaven came down and glory filled our souls

Are you going to Mary Immaculate?
Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,
Remember me to the one who lived there,
He once was a true love of mine,
Tell him to buy me an acre of land,
Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,
Between the muddy Hudson in Jamaica Bay,
Then, He’ll be a true love of mine,
Tell him to sow in it seeds of pure cream,
Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,
And build Ice cream mountains and buildings of whipped cream,
Then, He’ll be a true love of mine,
Tell him to reap them with sickles of M&M’s,
Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,
And chew bubble gum and eat till we’re done,
Then, He’ll be a true love of mine.
Tell him to run it off down the motor parkway,
Apricots, Chocolate Cherries and Pie,
After your done 50 pushups
and jog down the West Side Highway,
Then he’ll be a true love of mine…
(Don’t wait for me today dad, The kids are sick again, My tummy’s bulging again, My heart is aching again, And now there’s no love there…)
He once was, a true love of mine….So, Girls, I do beg you don't miss your Daddy,Apricots, Chocolate cherries and Pie,You have one short chance to see him on this side, Go visit him and let your light shine.
